Frequently Asked Questions

Microsoft Teams does not currently support paging; however, you can add paging to Microsoft Teams by partnering with BCM One. BCM One Voice Enabled Teams enables you to fill in the many call feature gaps in Microsoft Teams, including paging. Besides being a leading telecommunications company, BCM One is also a Gold Certified Microsoft Partner, giving us the unique ability to seamlessly integrate enterprise-level voice capabilities with Microsoft Teams to give you a unified collaboration platform that fits the needs of your business.

Microsoft Teams offers a limited set of call center features. You can configure auto attendants and call queues in Teams as long as you have several prerequisites, such as a resource account for each auto attendant and call queue, a Phone System and Virtual User license for each resource account, and at least one Microsoft service number or direct routing number for each resource account. Microsoft does not support transfers between Calling Plan trunks and Direct Routing trunks.

Alternatively, you can partner with BCM One to fill in the calling feature gaps where Microsoft Teams fall short. BCM One enhances Microsoft Teams with enterprise-level call features that handle multi-location and advanced features, such as advanced call routing (even during off-hours and holidays), queuing, call conferencing, presence and advanced call reporting. With BCM One Voice Enabled Teams, you get all of the business-level voice functionality you and your customers are used to, plus the video conferencing, chat, document storage, and Office 365 apps included with Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft Teams supports a portfolio of desk phones, including those manufactured by Yealink, Creston, Lenovo, Polycom, and AudioCodes. Only Teams-certified phones will work with Microsoft Teams and there are limitations as to the types of available call features. Alternatively, you can partner with BCM One to help you transform Microsoft Teams into a highly-customized, unified collaboration platform with enterprise-grade voice capabilities using your existing phones system, no matter the brand. With BCM One Voice Enabled Teams, your communications are streamlined across voice, video, data and mobile applications to support the many ways people work and engage with your company.

Yes, you can use a SIP trunk with Microsoft Teams, but Microsoft does not provide the SIP trunk. BCM One is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and an expert in SIP Trunking. BCM One will provide you with SIP trunks and connect them to your existing Microsoft Teams’ licenses.
